From Soil to Soul

If you are looking for good, honest fresh food, then we have something to offer you. Woods Farm Shop is a family run business that has been trading for generations. Originally started my Mick Woods, the business is now run by his son, John Woods and his wife Cathy Woods. Their sons (as with any family business) also help out with the ongoing development of the farm.

The main core of the farm consists of a mix of vegetable plantations & glass houses over 12 acres. Livestock in the form of Turkeys has been built upon over the last 35 years to gain a reputation synonymous with quality poultry.

Wood's Farm has always supplied to wholesale and also to the general public via markets within the Lancasire district. However the development of an on-site farm shop has allowed them to open the farm to public visitors.

People can now come and shop at the very place where the food they buy is grown or reared. In view are the huge span of green houses where many of the vegetables are grown and in the distance you can hear the vocals from the free range turkeys! Its all very "Good-Life" and we think you'll love it!

Our Fresh Harvest

In-store we have fresh fruit and vegetables, many of which are grown here on our farm. Produce that is not grown is sourced from local suppliers that we have partnered with over many decades to supply the highest quality at a sensible price. Our butchers counter is filled with fresh cuts of beef, pork and poultry. Many of which have been reared here on our very farm and we believe there's nothing quite like knowing where your food comes from!

Other fresh produce comes from home made pastries, cooked meets and a wide selection of preserves and chutneys to compliment the fresh goods in your basket.

Fresh Poultry

In our purpose built facility, we produce over 3000 turkeys a year. There are reared from chicks, developed, slaughtered and prepared to an oven ready condition all at our farm in Much Hoole. We have specialised in White, Bronze & Norfolk Black Turkeys for generations and with the ongoing development of the farm, have recently been able to introduced the banner of free range to a selection of turkeys.
